Direzione di ricerca

This depends on #115 and #12 and reuses the parametric body renderer from the Stars-up-close epic and gas giants (#41). Read those issues and inspect the renderer and archive parameters they identify before scoping the work. Done means TRAPPIST-1's seven planets, 51 Peg b, and Kepler-452b render distinctly and defensibly from their archive parameters, with seeded appearances labelled as illustrations.

Descrizione

enhancement track:catalogues

Under #115. Needs #12 for the systems.

What

Draw each exoplanet from a simple physical model, not a texture: radius and mass give density and a likely composition class (rocky, water world, mini-Neptune, ice giant, gas giant); the host star's luminosity and the orbit give the equilibrium temperature and zone (hot, temperate, cold), which picks the look: lava world, desert, ocean with clouds, ice, banded giant, hot Jupiter with a night-side glow. Seeded per planet so it's stable, and labelled as an illustration, not data.

Shared engine

Reuses the parametric body renderer from the Stars-up-close epic and gas giants (#41).

Done when

TRAPPIST-1's seven planets, 51 Peg b and Kepler-452b each render distinctly and defensibly from their archive parameters.
