Compare the proposed edit flow with those existing entry points. Descrizione

Description

Once an activity is created, there is no way for the host to change it. Title, description, type, format, schedule, level, learning objectives, prerequisites and tags are all fixed at creation time. Fixing a typo or updating the details means creating a new activity.

Expected behavior

  • A host can open an edit page for an activity they own.
  • The form is pre-filled with the current values.
  • Saving updates only the fields that changed.
  • Non-hosts cannot edit someone else's activity.

Proposed solution

Backend

  • Add PATCH /api/activities/:id, restricted to the activity host.
  • Validate all inputs: allowed type, format and schedule_type values, length limits, and at most 10 tags.
  • Encrypt description, learning_objectives and prerequisites with AES-256-GCM, as on create.
  • Apply the field update and tag changes in a single D1 batch so they succeed or fail together.

Frontend

  • Add an edit-activity page, reached from the dashboard, that loads the activity, shows the form, and sends a PATCH on save.
  • Redirect unauthenticated users to login and show an error to non-hosts.

Routing

  • Register /edit-activity as a clean route and add it to run_worker_first in wrangler.toml.
