Start in the image annotator mode for scanned submissions in the submissions_processed folder and review the existing controls for student and rubric navigation. Done means graders can switch between pages without confusing those controls; the keyboard shortcut design still needs discussion with experienced graders and TAs.

What problem are you trying to solve with Submitty

If we are grading pages of a scanned exam - stored in submissions_processed folder -- in image annotation mode, it would be helpful to quickly flip between pages. Sometimes we have a multiple page problem, and we would like to flip between pages in order to fill out the rubric for a particular problem.

Describe the way you'd like to solve this problem

  • Let's add some buttons in the interface to click switch between pages. Probably put it somewhere near the zoom button:

Although we don't want to get confused with the arrows to go forward & back (left/right) in the list of all students. (we already have these buttons, show on the right in the image above).

  • It would also be nice to have hot keys, although I don't have a great suggestion on how to do this and not confuse already existing hot keys for left right between students and up down to navigate between rubric components. Maybe page up & page down? (but those aren't physical keys on laptop keyboards...)
