Start in the vd1943_power_on function and inspect the reset handling and vd1943_wait_state call when the Raspberry Pi 5 DTS has no reset GPIO. Review pcb4280d_vd5943_2lanes.dts.txt and the existing device-tree setup. Done means the VD5943 probes correctly on the reported Raspberry Pi 5 configuration and the requested DTS is added if appropriate.

Dear developpers,
The driver does not probe the VD5943 correctly, it fails.
The issue is that the DTS of RPI does not have any reset, so gpiod_set_value_cansleep(sensor->reset_gpio, 0); is probably not sleeping at all.
The solution for me was to add
usleep_range(20000, 25000);
just before :
gpiod_set_value_cansleep(sensor->reset_gpio, 0);
usleep_range(6000, 6500);
ret = vd1943_wait_state(sensor, VD1943_SYSTEM_FSM_SYSTEM_UP, NULL);
in the function: static int vd1943_power_on(struct vd1943 *sensor)
also can you add the pcb4280d_vd5943_2lanes.dts.txt to the code please ?
