Direzione di ricerca

This is a maintainer-led lint rollout across the whole repository, so it is not a good first pick. Start with the ruff rule selection in the project's lint configuration, then run ruff on one rule group at a time to see the violations. Done means each enabled group is clean, with deliberate exceptions noted, and the published schemas and HTTP API are unchanged.

Descrizione

Phase 1 step 1.8, group 8a of the rules workstream: enable ruff's argument, idiom and pytest-style rules (ARG, ASYNC, B, C4, FBT, PD, PERF, PGH, PLW, PT, PTH, RUF, SIM). Group 8b follows with the complexity refactors (C901, PLR) and the switch to select = ["ALL"].

  • Unused arguments (ARG): remove, underscore or explain each. Request side-effect fixtures with usefixtures. Never rename a parameter that callers pass by keyword.
  • Boolean arguments (FBT): make them keyword-only where every caller is in the repository.
  • Idioms (C4, SIM, PERF, RUF, PTH, PLW, B): apply equivalent rewrites; keep deliberate exceptions with a reason.
  • Tests (PT): pytest idioms, with pytest.raises(match=...) on the expected message. The shared rules tool's tests use unittest on purpose and are exempt from PT.

Published schemas, OpenAPI documents and the HTTP API must not change.
