Direzione di ricerca

Start by reading the sitemap implementation referenced by issue #618 and trace how it handles allowIndex="off" and public pages. Then identify the route or response entry point for site files; the issue gives the required /llms.txt sections and article ordering. Done means the response contains the specified site summary, sitemap link, published articles and public pages, while non-indexable sites return 404.

Proposal

Serve /llms.txt as proposed on llmstxt.org: a Markdown file that tells language models and AI agents (also those that read a site through tools such as MCP servers) what the site is about and where its content is. It sits next to robots.txt and sitemap.xml (#618).

Contents:

  • # <site title>;
  • > <summary>, taken from the start of the text of the default page;
  • one line that points to the sitemap;
  • ## Articles: the published articles, newest first, as - [title](address): excerpt;
  • ## Pages: the other public pages.

The pages are the same as in the sitemap: no private pages, no articles that are not published. A site that may not be indexed (allowIndex="off") answers 404, as for the sitemap.
