Start by reproducing the reported sequence: send with cashu --wallet <w> --host <mint> --yes send <n>, then check cashu --wallet <w> balance and cashu proofs in a fresh process. Inspect the preserved wallet files and the consecutive fund-log balance entries to determine whether the change is persisted, pending, or reserved. Done means the cause is identified and the wallet's change is visible through balance and proofs after a successful send.

Descrizione

Found by the clientd scenario battery (S3, nutshell wallet live).

What happened: after clientd pays successfully via cashu --wallet <w> --host <mint> --yes send <n> (payment accepted, session created), a subsequent cashu --wallet <w> balance in a fresh process shows Balance: 0 sat and cashu proofs reports "No proofs found" — the send's change is not visible. The fund log shows Balance: 40 sat followed immediately by Balance: 0 sat from two consecutive CLI invocations, so the loss of visibility happens at/after the first send, not at fund time.

Suspects: SQLite WAL on a docker named-volume shared across containers (stale WAL / missing checkpoint), or nutshell keeping the change as pending/reserved until a receive -a. Wallet files preserved from the run for inspection.

Why it matters: a laptop user topping up repeatedly through nutshell would think their wallet is empty after the first payment.
