Direzione di ricerca

Start by finding Taginfo’s configuration or wiki lookup entry point; the issue does not name a repository file or test. Check the OHM Key, Tag, and Relation wiki prefixes listed in the issue, then verify that matching OHM content is preferred while OSM content remains the fallback.

Descrizione

documentation taginfo

Taginfo pulls the definition, image, and status of each key or tag value from the OSM Wiki’s main namespace. This is normally fine, as we haven’t spun out a separate wiki (#561). However, we’ve forked a handful of keys and tags to give them drastically different definitions. We also have a few tags exclusive to OHM that aren’t being acknowledged. This could potentially cause significant confusion among new contributors.

For example, start_date:edtf=* is listed as having no known status or definition, even though it’s one of the most important keys in OHM. source:name=* is described as “the source of a name information”, which is backwards for us.

We should configure taginfo to prefer the wiki’s OHM content before falling back to OSM content. OHM keys, tags, and relation types are documented in subpages of “OpenHistoricalMap/Tags/Key/”, “OpenHistoricalMap/Tags/Tag/”, and “OpenHistoricalMap/Tags/Relation/”, respectively.
