Direzione di ricerca

Start by locating the Gantt Chart implementation for the WP dropdown and review issue #4537 for the task behavior. Use the acceptance criteria as the completion checklist: same-row placement without overlap, with task stack-height optimization taking precedence when tasks are shown; no file or test is named in the issue.

Descrizione

Description

Currently, when WPs dropdown under their parent project, they take up a ton of vertical space. When tasks are added (#4537), they will take up infinitely more vertical space. Come up with an optimization technique to display all WPs and tasks on as few vertical rows as possible such that none overlap.

Acceptance Criteria
  • When WPs are dropped down, they should be on the same rows as each other to save vertical space
  • No WPs on the same line can overlap
  • When tasks are dropped down, they should be on the same rows as each other to save vertical space
  • No tasks on the same line can overlap
  • IMPORTANT: When tasks are dropped down, WPs will also be dropped down, so UNDO the WP alignment. WP stack height should no longer be optimized; only the tasks for the dropped-down WP should be stack-height optimized to maintain clarity
