Direzione di ricerca

The issue proposes a new feed status for feeds that pass every Seal criterion except Stable due only to having less than six months of URL history; it does not identify files, tests, or an entry point. First read the existing Seal criteria and status implementation to understand how stability is evaluated. Done means a status and its eligibility are defined and implemented, with tests covering feeds that fail only this stability condition.

Descrizione

Describe the problem

This is based on feedback from 1 vendor, who expressed concern with changing a client's GTFS URL. The client's current feed would pass the Seal, but they would not pass the Seal when they do a URL change, even though the new URL would be stable and not tied to the vendor name. This would make the new vendor look bad.

Proposed solution

We can't change the 6 months of URL stability in Stable criterion because we need a concrete way to measure stability. However, we could define a new kind of "status" for feeds that pass all criteria except Stable (assuming stable is failing just due to a lack of 6 months in the database). Maybe "earning" or "coasting"?
