Direzione di ricerca

After #2108 is merged, read the Docker proposal’s “The image” section and inspect the desktop sd.cpp staging in electron/scripts/sdcpp/. Then trace how the Dockerfile’s runtimes stage and headless context are configured, including the existing tests. Done means a CPU image model can be downloaded and used to generate an image, and sd-server starts for a selected image model and stops when none is selected.

Descrizione

desktop docker enhancement help wanted

Which part? Desktop app

What would you like?

Step 9 of 14 of #2100: running SurfSense in Docker. Depends on #2108; start once it is merged.

Image generation in Docker, on the CPU.

Design: Docker proposal, The image

What to change

  • Run the desktop's sd.cpp staging (electron/scripts/sdcpp/) with a CPU recipe for Linux amd64 and arm64 in the runtimes stage.
  • Set the image variables in the headless context.

Done when

  • Download an image model and generate an image.
  • sd-server starts when an image model is chosen and stops when none is.

Scope: code and tests only. Don't edit docs/ or AGENTS.md, except to fix a link this change breaks; the maintainers update the docs when the Docker work ships.

Why would it help?

Each step leaves something that runs, so the Docker image is built and reviewed one piece at a time.
