Start by reproducing the failure with Sunshine 2026.921.13701 from the CachyOS pacman package on the listed NVIDIA and Wayland setup. Inspect the initialization path around the empty “Failed to create session” error and the subsequent Wayland detection logs. Done means the service initializes without that error, announces itself on the network, and proceeds with encoder detection.

CachyOS just bumped your package and it is now unusable.
Wish I could get you more useful logs, but it just seems to... stop?
It isn't announcing itself on the network, it doesn't seem to be trying to detect encoders, the only error I see is Sep 23 17:16:04 yorha sunshine[2687]: [2026-09-23 17:16:04.900]: Error: Failed to create session: which seems to have failed to retrieve the error that was trying to log or came back empty.

Connected to an HDMI dummy plug. Setup has worked till yesterday's update.
