Direzione di ricerca

Start with the “Expiration rules” setting and compare this reproduction with issue #1762, checking how the configured 7-day value is applied when a certificate is generated. Done means the certificate follows the intended longer validity, and the setting’s wording clearly distinguishes certificate validity from request expiration, with the behavior covered by an appropriate regression check.

Describe the bug

I recreated my certificate one week ago and now get "Certificate expired" again.

To reproduce

See #1762 for the last time.

Maybe this is due to my settings?

In "Expiration rules" in settings there is "The length of time for which the generated certificate will be valid, in days."

The value is set to 7 as I assumed that this was for the signature request due the comment "Rules for controlling the expiration of a request to sign a file." after the header

Expected behavior

Much longer expiration date
