Start by reading the swipe-to-delete implementation and its existing tests, if present, to see how swipe distance determines the number of words deleted and whether the preceding space is included. The issue asks for an option to preserve that space and for a swipe to delete only the most recently typed word; done means both behaviors are configurable or tuned as requested and work in the correction and retyping flow.

  1. It currently deletes the preceding space too, which disrupts the typing correction and retyping flow because I have to re-enter the space. An option to disable this behavior would be great.

  2. One quick swipe deletes multiple words. 99% of the time, I just want to delete the word I just typed, flick left from the delete key, and retype it. Gboard has this tuned perfectly.
