Direzione di ricerca

The payload names no source files. Start by finding where the Files app renders folder modification timestamps and where the Dashboard reads the regional date and time settings, then compare how each formats them. Reproduce by setting the system to 12-hour time and comparing both views. Done when Files shows MM/DD and hh:mm A from the same preference the Dashboard uses. The separate date-format GUI option is a design question and is out of scope for a first fix.

Descrizione

Bug Description

The ZimaOS Files application does not respect the system's date and time format settings.

Although ZimaOS is configured in English with the 12-hour time format (AM/PM), Files displays folder timestamps using DD/MM and 24-hour formatting.

The Dashboard displays the correct date and time, indicating an inconsistency between the Dashboard and Files application.

Environment

  • ZimaOS Version: v1.7.1
  • Language: English
  • Timezone: America/Puerto_Rico
  • Time Format: 12-hour (AM/PM)
  • Application Affected: Files

Actual Behavior

Dashboard (Correct):

  • Thursday, October 8, 2026
  • 7:33 PM

Files (Incorrect):

  • 08/10 15:58

Expected Behavior

Files should respect the selected regional date and time preferences.

For example:

  • Current: 08/10 15:58
  • Expected: 10/08 03:58 PM

Expected formatting:

  • Date: MM/DD
  • Time: hh:mm A (12-hour format with AM/PM)

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Install or update to ZimaOS v1.7.1.
  2. Configure the system language to English.
  3. Set the time format to 12-hour (AM/PM).
  4. Verify that the Dashboard displays the correct date and time.
  5. Open the Files application.
  6. Observe that folder timestamps are displayed in DD/MM and 24-hour format.
  7. Refresh the browser. The issue persists.

Suggested Fix

The Files application should use the same regional date and time formatting preferences as the ZimaOS Dashboard.

Additionally, it would be useful to provide a date format selection option in the ZimaOS GUI, independent of the interface language.

Suggested options:

  • MM/DD/YYYY (US)
  • DD/MM/YYYY
  • YYYY-MM-DD

This would ensure consistent date and time formatting across all ZimaOS applications.
