Direzione di ricerca

The issue names no files or tests; it describes adapters as single JSON files that are shipped only through releases. Start by reading how the server loads and validates adapter definitions, since that is where an installed index entry would plug in. The issue asks for decisions, not code: curated or open index, signing and integrity, and upgrade and conflict rules with shipped adapters. Done means those answers are recorded in the issue thread by maintainers, so a newcomer should comment with questions rather than open an implementation PR.

Descrizione

roadmap

An adapter is one JSON file, which makes it easy to contribute and impossible to distribute outside a release. A curated index would let someone publish an adapter we have not merged, and let an operator install it without editing files on the server.

What has to be decided before any code

  • Curated (we review every entry) or open (anyone publishes, we flag)? An adapter definition can point at any URL with the operator's credentials attached, so an open index is a supply-chain surface. The answer is probably curated, and the issue should say why.
  • Signing and integrity.
  • How an installed community adapter is upgraded, and what happens when it conflicts with a shipped one.

Design discussion. No implementation PRs yet.
