The Ask Me counter reads "X/N" and counts down as questions get answered, which reads as though questions are disappearing rather than being completed.

In the reporter's words:

The "X/N" display doesn't make sense to me, I started on "5/5" and as I answered the questions it went to "4/5" -> .... "1/5", I'm not sure if the questions were asked in the wrong order or what.

What was observed
  • Five questions waiting displayed as 5/5.
  • Answering one moved it to 4/5, then down to 1/5.
Note on scope

This is the label, not the queue. Nothing in the report says the wrong question was shown or that an answer went to the wrong place. The reporter's own reading was that it might mean the questions arrived in the wrong order, which is a sign the display is ambiguous enough to make people doubt the underlying behaviour.

Reported on Hacker News by joshstrange, who ran the app for a couple of hours on 2026-08-22 and wrote up everything he hit.
