The panic is at node-graph/graph-craft/src/document.rs:1340, inside NodeNetwork::flatten_with_fns and its merge_ids call, where an index into an empty list fails. Reproduce with the listed steps (custom node, enter, go back, click the Preview breadcrumb) and check the index against the network being flattened. Done means that path no longer panics. Pull request #4899 is already open against this issue, so review it before starting.

Describe the Crash
I was testing out Graphite, created a custom node, entered to check it, went back, and clicked the "preview" button that was at the top.

Steps To Reproduce

  1. Open the Graphite editor at https://dev.graphite.art
  2. Create a new document
  3. Access the node editor
  4. Create a new custom node
  5. Enter the new custom node
  6. Go back to the document through the breadcumbs
  7. Click the "preview" breadcrumb that has appeared
