Direzione di ricerca

Read rauc-system.conf, genimage.cfg, and the defconfig setting BR2_TARGET_ROOTFS_EXT2_LABEL; trace how the image creates its two rootfs slots and how RAUC resolves their devices. Check the resulting image’s partition and filesystem labels, then confirm both configured slots resolve to distinct devices. Done means RAUC can resolve both slots reliably.

Descrizione

bug

rauc-system.conf points slot devices at /dev/disk/by-partlabel/rootfs_a and rootfs_b, but genimage.cfg builds a DOS/MBR table (partition-table-type = "mbr"); PARTLABEL / by-partlabel is a GPT-only concept, so those symlinks never appear and RAUC cannot resolve either slot device. Falling back to by-label wouldn't help either: genimage seeds BOTH rootfs_a and rootfs_b from the same rootfs.ext2, and the defconfig sets BR2_TARGET_ROOTFS_EXT2_LABEL="rootfs_a" (line 190), so both slots carry the identical filesystem label 'rootfs_a'. Point the slots at stable nodes (e.g. /dev/mmcblk1p1 and p2) or switch to GPT and give each slot a distinct partlabel. (Companion to #46, the U-Boot env wiring issue.)
