External Theme Creator (ETC) is a FreeCAD workbench for designing, testing, applying, inspecting, and distributing external FreeCAD user-interface themes independently of FreeCAD's built-in theme system.

MAIN FEATURES
=============

- Develop and preview themes directly from an external folder.
- Apply packaged .fctheme themes and export themes for distribution.
- Reload QSS stylesheets and theme icons without restarting FreeCAD.
- Capture and manage FreeCAD preference/configuration (CFG) instructions.
- Inspect Qt UI elements and identify associated commands and icons.
- Support additional theme assets beyond FreeCAD's built-in theming capabilities, including custom toolbar icons, splash screens, application shortcut icons, color palette configuration instructions, simple UI enhancement scripts, and more.
- Use separate FreeCAD profiles for regular operation, applied themes, and theme development.

TESTING
=======

ETC has undergone hands-on testing on:

- Windows 11
- Linux x86_64 using a FreeCAD AppImage
- macOS Intel

Installation and major Apply/Develop workflows were tested across these platforms. The updated v0.9.86 installation package has also been retested.

Repository static checks pass.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FOR REVIEWERS
====================================

- Optional author-key/signing features rely on cryptography; when unavailable, ETC offers a user-confirmed installation into its own user-profile dependency directory rather than making it mandatory for basic workbench installation.

- The public GitHub repository is newly established, although development of the code predates its publication. We welcome guidance on repository-age criteria and any packaging or policy changes needed for inclusion in the Addon Manager.

Thank you for reviewing this addition. We are happy to address feedback.
