Start by tracing the media-rescan flow triggered from the menu and how it updates or dismisses the scanning notification; the issue does not name files or tests. Reproduce by choosing “rescan media” and comparing the app’s scan state with the notification. Done when the notification goes away after scanning finishes or clearly reports completion.

Steps to reproduce the bug
- Go to menu.
- Press rescan media.
- The notification keeps showing scanning even if it is finished scanning in the app.
Expected behavior
The notification should go away if scanning is finished or show scanning is finished notification.
Actual behavior
The scanning notification keeps showing scanning.
