Reproduce the issue in a conversation with gesture navigation enabled and the gesture hint turned off, focusing on the message type box described in the report. The payload names no source files or tests, so start by locating the conversation UI and checking how it behaves with the display cutout setting enabled. Done means the message box is no longer cut off in the reported configuration.

Steps to reproduce the bug

1.) Turn on gesture navigation.
2.) Turn off gesture hint.
3.) Open conversation and SMS to right in message type box will be cut off after message is sent or conversation started.
4.) Display cut-out on edges from nav-bar off without gesture hint.
5.) SMS will be cut off to right in message type box.

Expected behavior

No UI cut-out in gesture navigation without gesture hint. King of navigating in my opinion over true full-screen / making full use of high end hi-resolution phone screen.

Actual behavior

There is a UI cut-out.
