Start by reproducing the archive flow on the affected app version: select a conversation and tap the archive icon, noting whether it reappears after about two seconds. Read the code handling conversation archiving and check how archived conversations are loaded back into the list. Done means archiving consistently removes the conversation from the list.

Steps to reproduce the bug
  1. Select the conversation you want to archive.
  2. Click the archive icon.
Expected behavior

The conversation disappears from the list (as if it had been archived)

Actual behavior

The conversation reappears in the list after 2 seconds (so it's not archived).

Additional information
  • If I delete an archived conversation (to free up space) and then retry to archive a conversation, it doesn't work either.
  • Currently, 22 conversations are already archived in my Fossify Messages app >> Sometimes it works, it's random.
