The payload names no files, so start by finding the launcher's existing settings screen and where it configures the Android system UI or window. Add a persisted, off-by-default toggle that hides the status bar while the launcher is in the foreground and restores it when the toggle is turned off. Done means the toggle survives restarts and the status bar behaves as described. Notch and cutout handling is an open question in the issue, so confirm scope with maintainers before starting.

Feature description

I would like to request the addition of an option to hide the status bar. This feature would allow users to toggle the visibility of the Android status bar (which shows time, battery, notifications, etc.) when using the launcher.

The implementation could include:

  • A toggle switch in the launcher settings
  • Option labeled something like "Hide status bar
  • The setting should apply globally when the launcher is active
