Direzione di ricerca

Start by reading AGENTS.md and inspect Rust lint attributes across the workspace, especially the named crates and binary main.rs files. The issue provides rg commands to reproduce the counts; review each suppression and add a reason or use expect where it is valid across feature configurations. Done when both workspace Clippy lints are enabled and CI passes with all suppressions addressed.

Scritto dal modello di indicizzazione a partire dal testo della issue.

Descrizione

AGENTS.md asks for #[expect(clippy::<lint>, reason = "...")] when silencing a lint; neither half is checked.
Nothing stops an #[allow], and nothing stops an #[expect] without a reason.

IronRDP and IronVNC set clippy::allow_attributes = "warn" in [workspace.lints.clippy]; this workspace does not.
Enabling both lints makes each half fail CI under -D warnings:

[workspace.lints.clippy]
allow_attributes = "warn"
allow_attributes_without_reason = "warn"

Existing sites need a sweep first.
Counts at c6e0595e over --type rust:

Pattern Sites Files
#[allow(...)] (outer) 104 44
#![allow(...)] (inner, crate-level) 100 74
#[expect(...)] without reason 25 18
#![expect(...)] without reason 0 0

Of the 204 allow sites, 34 already carry a reason; the rest need one or a switch to expect.
Outer #[allow] sites by area: devolutions-gateway 50, crates/devolutions-pedm-shared 19, devolutions-agent 11, devolutions-session 11, the remainder spread across seven crates and tools.
#[expect] sites without reason by area: crates/win-api-wrappers 11, crates/devolutions-pedm 7, devolutions-gateway 4, crates/pedm-simulator 2, jetsocat 1.

Most inner #![allow] sites are unused_crate_dependencies and clippy::unwrap_used at the top of devolutions-gateway/tests/*.rs and print_stdout/print_stderr in binary main.rs files.
Crate-level suppressions that are only sometimes fulfilled, such as unused_crate_dependencies under feature combinations, may need to stay #![allow] with a reason rather than become #![expect], which would trigger unfulfilled_lint_expectations in the other configuration.

Reproduce the counts with rg -c -U '#!?\[allow\([^\]]*\)\]' --type rust and rg -c -U --pcre2 '#\[expect\((?:(?!reason)[^\]])*\)\]' --type rust.
