The issue does not name files or tests; start by locating the current FilePond upload entry point and how uploaded files are assigned to directories. Compare duplicate-name handling for replacement/skipping, automatic renaming, and an error message, including the required UI behavior. Done means one approach is selected and its duplicate-file behavior is implemented and verified.

An error message should be shown if a file name already exists and user is trying to upload another file with same name. Plan on what can be done. Evaluate on the following options:

  1. Check the file pond used currently. If it is possible to allow replace/skip option for the files that are duplicate. If yes then what would be the changes in the UI that would be needed.

  2. Automatically modify the name of the file and add the numbers to the end of the file name. Like:
    abc.pdf, abc.pdf (1), abc.pdf (2).

  3. If not possible can we just show an error message when files with same name appear in the same directory.
