Direzione di ricerca

Start with the packaging workflows in .github/workflows/ and the referenced plan in docs/notes/plan-05-followups.md; inspect how AppImages are currently built and how release artifacts are published. Then check scripts/gen-icons.sh, src-tauri/tauri.conf.json, and the README packaging floors. Done means CI publishes an AppImage that starts on clean Ubuntu 24.04, linuxdeploy is pinned with a checksum, the README floors are updated, and the listed checks pass.

Descrizione

area:infra size:L status:ready type:chore

Context

The AppImage built on the Ubuntu 26.04 dev host needs glibc 2.43 (bundled WebKitGTK, GLib, GnuTLS) and does not run on Ubuntu 24.04 LTS; the .deb (glibc 2.39) does. Both floors are documented in the README, but the v1 AppImage is unusable on 24.04 until a portable build exists. Open question from plan 5: worth setting up before v1?

To do

  • Build the AppImage in CI on an older base (Ubuntu 22.04/24.04 container or runner) and publish it as a release artifact; check it runs on Ubuntu 24.04.
  • Pin linuxdeploy (download by version and checksum instead of unpinned from GitHub).
  • gen-icons.sh header should mention the pnpm / dev dependencies it needs.
  • Tauri bundle targets are Linux-only: note the macOS / Windows needs (see the macOS and Windows packaging epics) without changing them here.
  • CI: pnpm lint and CI run clippy without --all-targets in some places: confirm they match cargo clippy --all-targets -- -D warnings (77eb46d did most of it).

Acceptance criteria

  • A CI job produces an AppImage that starts on a clean Ubuntu 24.04.
  • linuxdeploy version is pinned with a checksum.
  • README floors updated.
  • pnpm test && pnpm lint green (plus cargo clippy --all-targets -- -D warnings and pnpm test:rust when Rust changes)
