Description

Now that DynODE has evolved, we need to test all the new features that have been added. This main issue is the vessel for sub-issues that can be ticked off incrementally to improve test coverage for evolved DynODE.

Considerations

  • A big addition to DynODE has been Pydantic data classes with validators. these will need to be tested for when they function correctly and, more importantly, so that they will through exceptions when validation fails.
  • There are new utils to tests (e.g. datetime experiment init stuff)
  • Libraries like Hypothesis (compatible with pytest) and faker (for synthetic data) are great for making sure tests aren't just static calculations, but code will be resilient to the experimentation we have planned for it
