Direzione di ricerca

Start at the growbikenet function and trace where its internal parameters and generated information are assembled, then inspect the existing export-data path. Define which metadata is required and how the optional return and saved output should behave; the issue does not name files or tests, so the acceptance criteria need clarification first.

Is your feature request related to a problem?
It's great that GrowBikeNet does many things automatically, such as finding the street network and automatically determining the best kind of seed point type (and thus seed point grid spacing). But since there are internally moving parts, some parameters cannot be easily tracked. If I don't input myself a specific seed point type, I do not know the seed point type chosen and the spacing chosen by the function. The seed point type is listed in the automatic name if the data is exported, but it would be useful for my case to be able to have easily a list of all the parameters for a given run outside of the function, and some other things as quality of life and for debugging purposes. All the information is already within the function, this is purely about making it easily accessible to the user.

Proposed Solution
If a given boolean attribute is True (False by default), returns (and save if export data is true) a dictionary of metadata along the geodataframe of ordered edges. I was thinking as useful metadata about the query used, the OSMID of the corresponding area extracted if extracted, the date at which the extraction happened, the seed point type, the grid spacing, if some files were imported, and potentially other parameters.

Use Cases
Useful when debugging/comparing many runs on different cities and with different parameters, and for consistent data informations.
