Research direction

The issue names no files, tests or entry points, so start by finding the existing Marionette views and the earlier React explorations in the repository. Read the two linked migration articles on a hybrid adapter layer that runs Marionette and React side by side. Done would mean an agreed migration plan with the first screen moved behind that adapter, which the maintainers have not yet decided on.

About

The repository already includes a few explorations to bring in React and MUI, but those have been ramblings from many years ago, without digesting too much knowledge about relevant internals.

Idea

Grafana migrated from Angular to React the other day, providing a hybrid adapter layer for the transitioning period that supported both frameworks.

Next

The nice articles Gentle Migration from Marionette to React by @jgaskins and Transitioning Your Marionette App to React by @msholty-fd just found us; both elaborate about such an adapter layer to run both Marionette and React in parallel, suitable for optimal progressive transitioning. Thank you very much!
