Research direction

Read the linked gooo-first-program SKILL.md and its LICENSE, then compare the two-file example and its edit, execution, and replay flow with SkillHub’s starter collection and skill-sharing guidance. Determine what acceptance evidence is required for a package PR; done means the maintainers decide whether this starter content fits and specify validation expectations. The payload says adaptation, validation, and usage testing have not been done.

Description

Problem

An agent learning Gooo needs to see an actual source edit execute, then replay that execution’s saved record with the same inputs and workspace. This skill covers a small, supported Gooo subset; Gooo is experimental and its compiler generates Go.

Proposed Solution

Would gooo-first-program add useful starter coverage under your skill-sharing invitation? It uses a two-file example and fresh execution/replay records after each edit. Redistribution terms: BSD-3-Clause. What acceptance evidence would you want before a package PR?

Disclosure: I maintain Gooo Go Ports; this proposal was prepared with Codex assistance.

Alternatives Considered

Keep the existing skill upstream only if this developer-learning task is too narrow for the starter collection.

Impact

It requires macOS/Linux, a local shell, Git, Go 1.27.2, native compiler commands and generated-program execution. Setup may download/build the pinned compiler and download the Go toolchain; a matching checksum-verified archive is an alternative. The local tutorial needs no external service API keys. SkillHub adaptation, validation and usage testing have not been performed; independent external use is unverified.

Contract Or SDK Impact

No OpenAPI, generated SDK, CLI protocol or operator-documentation changes are proposed. This is a starter-content scope enquiry, before any integration or package PR.
