Research direction

Start from parent EPIC #306 and blocked issues #308, #309, #311 to understand scope and ADRs. The work covers fake GitHub effect tests, operator docs, migration and CLI doctor/status help; run make check sandbox suites. Done when acceptance criteria pass with updated CHANGELOG, architecture and security docs.

Written by the indexing model from the issue text.

Description

Parent EPIC: #306 (planning link; native parent association pending verification). Phase: G. Priority: P1. Blocked by: #308, #309, #311 and whichever of #310/F receives ADR/security go-decision.

Deliverables

  • End-to-end fake GitHub and fault-injected effects testing: #305/#280→#23 and #242/#177→#16/#158; issue and PR targets, native ancestry, author identity and cross-EPIC coordination.
  • Matrix for deny/referenced/same_author/same_epic/same_author_and_epic/same_repo × issue/PR × operator/approve/(opt-in auto if approved). Cover bot identities, closed targets, parent transfer, fork, inaccessible API, concurrent worker and tampered input.
  • Preserved K9/K10 old-state replay, schema migration strictness, operator bind/decline behavior, action marker uniqueness, duplicate attempts and real crash windows. Confirm no change to automatic merge gating and LOCAL zero-GitHub.
  • Provider-neutral tests and parallel scheduler/shared-Git lock parity; make check, appropriate sandbox tests, configuration example, doctor/status help, usage/security/architecture/ADR and CHANGELOG entries.
  • Rollout strategy: default unchanged, feature-gated approve mode only after go-decision, isolated opt-in auto after security review, explicit operator migration and diagnostics, no modification of existing blocked #305 run.

Acceptance criteria

  • Deterministic end-to-end regression suites pass for approved capabilities and failed-go branches remain coherent.
  • Evidence demonstrates crash-safe write/readback and no duplicate comments or lost unpushed commits.
  • User docs explain scopes aren't a privilege ranking and K10 remains operator-performed.
  • Every accepted persisted change has its own protocol bump announced on #23 per current-main N+1; no number pre-reserved.
  • EPIC exit-criteria checklist is supported with links to tested PRs, reviews and security approvals.
