Start by reading the existing Pi extension code for first-turn warnings and the Claude runtime probe at internal/agents/claudecode/inspect.go; compare that with cmd/gortex/doctor_runtime.go lines 154–219. Investigate which settings can change during a session, including MCP re-registration for preset changes, and how status can be computed cheaply. Show Gortex state in Pi and let the user control it without editing config.
Claude shows hook status lines and gortex doctor probes the Claude runtime (internal/agents/claudecode/inspect.go; cmd/gortex/doctor_runtime.go L154-219 has no Pi probe). Pi shows nothing beyond first-turn warnings.
