Research direction

Inspect the root desktop script that invokes bun --filter @ace/desktop dev, then run bun desktop dev to reproduce the truncated output. Update the command to pass --elide-lines=0 or invoke the desktop package directly. Done means native Desktop Tools build failures show the complete Swift or patch error output.

Written by the indexing model from the issue text.

Description

bun desktop dev runs bun --filter @ace/desktop dev. With --filter, Bun shows only the last 10 lines of each script's output (--elide-lines, default 10). When the native Desktop Tools build fails, the Swift or patch error is usually above those lines, so the real cause is hidden.

Fix: make the root desktop script bun --filter @ace/desktop --elide-lines=0, or run the package script directly (bun run --cwd apps/desktop).

Moved from githubnext/desktop-tools#7. The engine side is done there: the build no longer hides output and restores a drifted Peekaboo checkout itself.
