Research direction

No files, tests, or entry points are named in the issue. Trace the desktop exam submission flow and its existing validation or confirmation behavior; done means a user can submit an incomplete exam after an explicit warning and confirmation, including for debugging.

Description

enhancement

It's an edge case, since I expect most people will want to answer every question, but it would be nice if you could submit at any point.

We'd definitely want to warn people and force them to confirm, though.

Even if it's not something we'd want regular users to do, it might be helpful while debugging.
