Start by reading scripts/sync_cypher_spec.py and the related check in drivine4j, then inspect how CI is configured in this repository. Add a CI check beside the sync script that compares the copied cases with the spec tag in VERSION and warns when a later tag exists. Done means mismatches fail with guidance to sync, newer tags emit a GitHub Actions warning, and the check runs in CI; the issue says this lands with or after compiler port #60.

Description

Port of liberation-data/drivine4j#172.

The Cypher spec's cases are copied from a tag of drivine-cypher-spec into tests/cypher, unchanged, with the tag recorded in VERSION beside them, by scripts/sync_cypher_spec.py. Nothing checks either half: a case edited here and never sent to the spec, or a library left on an old tag, goes unnoticed.

drivine4j now runs scripts/check-cypher-spec.sh as a CI job of its own. It:

  • fails when a copied file differs from the spec at the tag VERSION names, saying to change the spec, tag it and sync;
  • warns (a GitHub Actions ::warning::, not a failure) when the spec has a later tag (git ls-remote --tags), naming the sync command for it.

It reads the spec's public tarball and tags, so it needs no token.

The same check here, beside scripts/sync_cypher_spec.py, run in CI. The copies and the sync script come with the compiler port (#60), so this lands with it or after it.
