Steps to reproduce

  1. Open the Command Code GUI (v0.1.47).
  2. Start a new session and select either deepseek/deepseek-v4.1-flash or z-ai/glm-5.3-flash.
  3. Send a prompt that is clearly multi-step, so the agent writes a checklist — e.g. "Create a todo list for test."
  4. Wait for the model to create its todo list (the model should call the todo_write tool and its todo items should appear).
  5. Observe the TODOS panel.
  6. Run /todos in the input box.

  • The checklist created by the model through todo_write should be rendered in the TODOS panel: each item shows its content, its status (pending / in_progress / completed) with the in-progress item showing its activeForm, and the list updates on every todo_write call.
  • /todos should be available and should open/manage the session todo list (per the docs: "Manage the session todo list — x to remove an item, c to clear").

  • No todo list is shown in the TODOS panel.
  • /todos is not available
  • The checklist is effectively invisible to the user, so progress cannot be tracked.
  • Reproduced with both deepseek/deepseek-v4.1-flash and z-ai/glm-5.3-flash across different sessions.

Because the issue reproduces with two different model families across independent sessions — and affects both the panel and the slash command — it points to a client-side feature-registration/build problem in the GUI rather than a provider-specific tool-calling failure.
