Start in apps/desktop-gpui/src/app_windows.rs at the recording-start handling around line 4176, and trace how the app reads mainWindowRecordingStartBehaviour. Compare that path with MainWindowRecordingStartBehaviour::perform in the Tauri app, which the issue says minimises the window for “Minimise.” Done means that setting minimises the main window when recording starts; the issue lists two linked pull requests, including one that is open.

Description

Description

Settings → General → Main window when recording starts offers "Close" and "Minimise", but the desktop app never reads mainWindowRecordingStartBehaviour. When a recording starts, apps/desktop-gpui/src/app_windows.rs calls hide_main_window whatever the setting (line 4176 on bb462da3a; its comment cites the Tauri perform call, whose default is Close). With "Minimise" selected, the main window is still hidden rather than minimised to the Dock.

The Tauri app's MainWindowRecordingStartBehaviour::perform minimised the window for "Minimise".

Reproduction
  1. Set Settings → General → Main window when recording starts to "Minimise".
  2. Start a recording.
  3. The main window is hidden, not minimised to the Dock.

Seen in Cap 0.6.2 on macOS.

Expected

"Minimise" minimises the main window when a recording starts.
