Research direction

Start from how /disco/v3.0/packages filters GA, linux/x64, Corretto and Temurin versus Zulu, and from /distributions/corretto and /major_versions/25/ga. Compare with issue #164 on Corretto 25.0.4 java_version / distribution_version handling, which may have started dropping packages after ~2026-10-06 16:40 UTC. Done when those queries return GA packages again as they did before the cutoff.

Description

Since about 16:40 UTC on 2026-10-06, /disco/v3.0/packages returns no GA packages for Corretto or Temurin on linux/x64. Zulu is still returned. Gradle toolchain provisioning through org.gradle.toolchains.foojay-resolver therefore fails for any build that asks for these vendors and doesn't already have a matching JDK installed:

Cannot find a Java installation on your machine (Linux … amd64) matching:
{languageVersion=25, vendor=Amazon Corretto, implementation=vendor-specific, nativeImageCapable=false}.
No matching toolchain could be found in the configured toolchain download repositories.

Reproduce (results as of 2026-10-06T20:42Z):

Without any filters, /packages?distribution=corretto&version=25 returns only 2 packages, and /packages?distribution=temurin&version=25 returns none.

/distributions/corretto now lists 25+36 as the newest 25 version. /major_versions/25/ga?distro=corretto still lists 25.0.1 through 25.0.4.1.

Timeline: the same CI pipeline downloaded amazon-corretto-25.0.4.10.1-linux-x64.tar.gz through /ids/…/redirect at 16:27 UTC. Runs from 16:49 UTC onward got no match. Builds in several unrelated repositories failed the same way at about the same time.

Possibly related: #164, opened the day before, about Corretto 25.0.4 java_version / distribution_version handling. If the Corretto parser was changed in response, that may be where packages started being dropped. This is a guess; I can't see the deployed code.

Expected: Corretto and Temurin GA packages are returned again, as they were before 16:40 UTC.
