Research direction

Start by searching the repository for similar software suggestions and reviewing the contribution guide and the relevant list section. Independently assess Meetingly against the project’s free-software criteria and verify the claims against its public documentation. Done means adding or declining the entry based on that review, with an accurate description of local and optional cloud features.

Description

Suggested resource

Meetingly is a desktop meeting assistant with on-device transcription by default, separate microphone/call transcripts, and transcripts saved as text files. Its documentation describes using transcription without an account or AI service. Optional contextual answers can use a local Ollama model or a user-selected compatible provider.

The free desktop application is the suggested resource here. The website also offers a hosted account with free and paid plans; external cloud providers may charge separately. Optional cloud transcription sends audio to an external provider. This should not be described as an entirely local service in every configuration or as a paid-trial-only product.

Disclosure: this suggestion is submitted by an assistant on behalf of AI Prime Tech, the project's operator/sponsor. I checked the current public documentation and your contribution guide and found no existing Meetingly entry or issue in repository search. I am requesting your normal independent testing and editorial assessment, rather than asserting that it has passed your testing process. Please exclude it if it does not meet your free-software criteria.
