Research direction

Start at src/tsc_now.rs line 157, where rdtsc is used, then compare the cited Linux implementation in arch/x86/include/asm/msr.h with the linked TSC usage pitfalls. Determine whether out-of-order execution affects this library's cycle readings and address the issue or document why no change is needed.

Description

Hi, I notice that this library uses rdtsc to get the cycle. According to Pitfalls of TSC usage and implementation in linux kernel, rdtsc may encounter Out-of-Order Execution Issues. I'm not sure if this has been considered before — is this something that should be fixed?
