Research direction

Check the dependency declaration for subindex in the level-queryengine project and compare it with the reported working version, 3.0.0. Update the dependency and verify that the level-queryengine sample code runs successfully with that version.

Description

I had issues running the sample code of level-queryengine.

Thought that the problem was within subindex, and for this reason opened an issue on such project (it's reach of code samples and details).
Then I figured out that the latest version of subindex, 3.0.0, works just fine, but level-queryengine depends on an older version, 2.0.0, which is broken for me.

Can we upgrade the dependency?

Also I'm really curious to understand how level-queryengine/subindex could ever work on the first place...
