🔥 Claude (torch-sql):
torch-sql is a prototype that runs PyTorch models as SQL on XQL, aimed at Samudra on Empire AI's Beta cluster. A spike resolved Samudra's container environment (Python 3.12, numpy<2, zarr<3, pyarrow 25) together with the XQL packages, for linux-aarch64. Every package has an ARM wheel, so nothing builds from source. The one blocker is versions:
- xarray-sql 0.6.0 pins
datafusion==54.0.0; ddxdb[datafusion]0.4.6 andeinfold[datafusion]0.2.0 pindatafusion==55.0.0;- so
uv pip compilefails with both extras, and without them it resolves to 54, where einfold can't be loaded (54'sSessionContexthas nowith_extensions).
main already pins DataFusion 55, but it also pins einfold<0.2, and einfold 0.2.0 is out. A release on 55 that allows einfold 0.2 would let all three share one session. On 55, einfold works with numpy 1.26 and pyarrow 25 in the same check.
