Start with the serve -s /web/build --listen 5000 --no-clipboard entry point and the reported serve.json cleanUrls configuration. Reproduce both .well-known/apple-app-site-association and .well-known/assetlinks.json requests with curl, then trace why the extensionless file receives index.html. Done means the Apple association file is served directly while the existing SPA fallback still works.

Using serve to deliver a static pre-built create-react-app.

serve -s /web/build --listen 5000 --no-clipboard

The file .well-known/apple-app-site-association is part of the served directory but user receives the contents of index.html instead of the static file.

I've tried defining a serve.json config with excluded directory in cleanUrls but did not solve it.
