Descripción

Motivation

Candidates running coding tests may need to reuse compiler diagnostics or failed test results while debugging their solutions. Currently, copying the output requires manually selecting text in the test results panel.

A dedicated Copy results action would make it easier to preserve diagnostic information without changing the test execution workflow.

Desired behavior

Add a Copy results action to the existing Test results panel.

The action should:

  • Copy the current test results as plain text, preserving line breaks and diagnostic messages.
  • Display brief confirmation after a successful copy.
  • Display an accessible error message when clipboard access fails.
  • Be unavailable when no test results exist.
  • Avoid changing test execution, result filtering, candidate code, or interview state.

Scope

The first version would be limited to the coding test results panel. It would not introduce downloads, persistent test history, new test execution behavior, or changes to the final report.

The implementation would reuse existing UI conventions and include browser tests covering successful copying, clipboard failure, and unavailable results.

Acceptance criteria

  1. A candidate can copy the displayed test results with one action.
  2. The copied text preserves the relevant diagnostic information and line breaks.
  3. Clipboard failures do not clear or modify existing results.
  4. The action is unavailable before results exist.
  5. Existing test execution and result filtering remain unchanged.
  6. Automated browser tests cover the new behavior.
