Línea de trabajo

Start with GCC Bug 124888 (linked in the issue) to understand the miscompilation the std::function usage triggers, then reproduce it by building mathplot with GCC 16.1+ (CMake configure and build). Study the two workarounds documented in the bug report and commits aeb0a83 and 24901af, which introduced the code path exposing it. Done means mathplot compiles cleanly under GCC without breaking the Clang build; note the maintainer is currently waiting on an upstream GCC fix, so confirm scope with them before investing.

Descripción

At present, the GCC compiler almost compiles mathplot core. In fact, it WAS able to compile mathplot (at GCC version 16.1+) until I fixed the last mathplot architecture bug with aeb0a83 and then, later 24901af. The fix reveals a bug in GCC documented in Bug 124888.

I await a fix in GCC, as I don't feel I can implement either of the workarounds described in the bug . I also tried hacking around with the location of the std::function objects that I used without success.
