Honestly not sure if this is a bug, a feature request or if I'm just doing something wrong in settings. text message notification collapses to bubble in island.

Okay, so basically the behavior I want is to get a fully expanded island notification when I receive a text message and then to have it collapse to the compact island for a little bit and then go away. This is how it was before, not sure if an update fixed it. What I get now is the expanded notification but then it collapses to a bubble right next to but not connected to my camera notch. Is this a setting I can change it does it need to be a feature request?
