Bug description

In a website sidebar, the link to the current page has only class="active" (sidebaritem.ejs#L6). It has no aria-current="page", so a screen reader cannot tell which page is current. The class gives the information only visually. This fails WCAG 1.3.1 Info and Relationships (Level A).

The navbar already sets aria-current="page" (website-navigation.ts#L558-L577), so the sidebar is the gap.

The visual cue is a separate problem: the active link differs only in color (#15191).

This was first reported in a comment on discussion #12644, tested with NVDA and JAWS.

Investigated with AI assistance, grounded in a local clone of quarto-cli.
