Línea de trabajo

The roadmap identifies likely work in pyro-engine for applying the blur and pyro-api for storing and synchronizing masks; it also leaves mask drawing and livestream behavior open. Start by reading the linked epic, pyronear/roadmap#15, then inspect the relevant entry points in those projects. Done means every image sent by a station with a mask has its masked areas blurred.

Descripción

P2 T1-27

Related to the epic pyronear/roadmap#15 (Station documentation and hardware).

Context & Objective

Some areas seen by a camera must not be sent: houses, gardens, roads. The SDIS 36 asked for it, and it will very likely be required for community stations.

What has to be done

A mask defined for each camera (and pose) in the API, synchronised to the station. After a detection, the station blurs the masked area before sending the image. Likely sub-issues in pyro-engine (apply the blur) and pyro-api (store the mask, sync it), plus the platform to draw the mask.

Open questions

  • Who draws the mask, and where (platform, or a config file)?
  • Blur only the images sent, or also the livestream?

Done when

  • Masked areas are blurred on every image sent by a station that has a mask
