Línea de trabajo

Start with Meshflow/common/mesh_node_helpers.py and inspect observed_node_search_conditions, then find the tests for node search and add coverage for each listed ID form. Check how search results are linked and how detail lookup resolves Meshtastic IDs over 32 bits. Done means all supported searches find the intended node, and results do not link to IDs that detail lookup cannot resolve.

Descripción

bug

Bug

Searching nodes for a bare Meshtastic hex ID (e.g. 433b82f0, with no !) doesn't find the node. In pre-prod it only
returned nodes whose name happens to contain that text. Searching PDYt (short name) finds the node.

Cause

observed_node_search_conditions in Meshflow/common/mesh_node_helpers.py only treats input as a Meshtastic node
ID when it starts with !, or when it parses as a decimal integer. Bare hex goes to the MeshCore branch
(mc_pubkey__icontains / mc_pubkey_prefix__icontains), so 433b82f0 never matches meshtastic_node_id.

Expected

The search box finds a node by any of: !433b82f0, 433b82f0, 0x433b82f0, the decimal number, long name, short
name, and MeshCore pubkey or prefix. Bare 8-digit hex should match both the Meshtastic ID and the MeshCore key.

Also

  • Search results can include rows with Meshtastic IDs over 32 bits (left by integration tests run against
pre-prod). The UI links them as e.g. !1cf992a83, and the detail lookup 404s. The search shouldn't link to IDs
    it can't resolve.
  • Add tests for each input form.
